The Bloat Workshop:

The Bloat You've Been Fighting For Years Isn't A Food Problem. It's A Broken Assembly Line. And On This Free Workshop, I'm Going To Show You Exactly Which Station Broke.

A free live workshop for the woman who wakes up flat and goes to bed looking five months pregnant. If a client or a stranger has asked if you're expecting, if you bloat from a glass of water, if you've quietly bought bigger clothes to accommodate your stomach, and if you've tried every elimination diet and every probiotic with no lasting change β€” this is for you.

When:Β Sunday, September 20th at 7p CST/8p EST
Where: Live on Zoom (replay available for registrants)

If you're reading this, today probably looked something like this.

Let me map out a day I hear so often from the women who come to me with gut issues. If this sounds at all familiar, this workshop is for you.

You wake up around 6:30. You stand up. And before you do anything else, you check your stomach in the mirror, because you know the drill. Flat. Or flat-ish. This is the best it is going to look all day, and you have maybe a two-hour window before the bloating starts.

You have not eaten a single thing yet.

By 10 AM you are already distended. You didn't eat anything unusual. You didn't do anything wrong. Your body is just doing what it does now, which is inflate itself for reasons nobody has been able to explain to you in three years of asking. You have a glass of water at your desk. You bloat from the water. WATER.

By lunch you have unbuttoned your jeans under your desk. By 3 PM you are visibly pregnant-looking, and you know it, and you are angling your body away from the camera on your video calls, and you are positioning your laptop above the waist, and you are wearing the third pair of leggings this week because nothing with a real waistband fits your body after noon.

By 6 PM the pressure is so severe you cannot take a deep breath. You are 36 years old and you cannot breathe properly because of your STOMACH. And when you catch yourself in a mirror at that hour, you don't recognize the woman looking back. It is not your body. It is somebody else's body, and someone has inflated it, and you are trapped inside it, and no matter what you do you cannot get out.

Am I close?

Because if I am, I need to tell you something you probably haven't heard anyone say out loud yet.

You are not crazy. You are not doing this to yourself. You are not the exception. You are not broken.

You are a smart, capable, exhausted woman who has been handed the wrong map over and over and over again, and told to try harder with it.

Here's what has actually been happening to you.

You've cut the gluten. You've cut the dairy. You've cut soy, corn, eggs, nightshades, legumes, most fruit, and anything processed. You are down to about six foods you can eat β€” chicken, rice, zucchini, oatmeal, sweet potatoes, blueberries β€” and you are STILL bloated. Every elimination helped for a week or two before your body figured out the new baseline and the bloating came back. You have nothing left to cut.

You went to the GP. She ran a "full" panel β€” TSH, CBC, metabolic. Everything came back "normal." She said it was probably IBS, maybe stress, maybe just being a woman in your thirties. She suggested yoga. You sat in the parking lot afterward and cried, and you didn't fully know why until later, when you realized it was because she was so KIND about being so completely wrong.

You saw the naturopath. She said candida without testing. You spent $400 and three miserable weeks on an antifungal protocol that made you so sick you missed work, and when you quit she implied you didn't stick with it long enough. You paid four hundred dollars to be told you failed at getting better.

You saw the functional medicine doctor. Twenty-minute consult. Fourteen supplements on a printout. No testing. No explanation of the order. No monitoring in between. You bought twelve of them. You took them all. You improved at nothing. You went back once. You never went back again, because you realized nobody was actually WATCHING what was happening to you between visits.

You did the food sensitivity panel. Two hundred and seventy-five dollars. It came back with a color-coded list of foods that overlapped almost perfectly with the foods you had already eliminated. It confirmed what you already knew. It changed nothing.

You tried the probiotic your friend swore by. It made you WORSE within a week. You tried bone broth and got hives. You take five or six capsules of magnesium every night just to have a bowel movement, and even that is starting to stop working. You have a stool test kit or a hormone test kit sitting in a bathroom cabinet somewhere, still sealed, because nobody told you how to complete it and you were too scared to waste the money doing it wrong.

You have spent thousands of dollars in the last year and change. You know the exact number, because you added it up on your phone one night at 10:30 PM, sitting on the edge of the bed, while your husband slept next to you.

And you are not one bit better than you were when you started.

So I need to tell you the truth about why.

The reason none of it worked is not because your body is broken. It is not because you didn't try hard enough. It is not because you are the one woman who cannot be helped.

It is because not one of those practitioners figured out which station on your assembly line actually broke.

Here is the frame that is going to change everything for you, and this is what we build the entire workshop around:

Your digestion is an assembly line. It runs top to bottom, and it has three jobs, in order. Break the food down. Move it through. Clear it out. When one station on that line breaks, you get bloated. Every version of chronic bloating in every woman I have ever worked with comes down to a failure at one of those three stations β€” or a combination of them. And here is the part nobody has told you:

The fix for one station is the OPPOSITE of the fix for another.

Which means every time you were handed a protocol built for station one, and your body was actually failing at station two, of course it made you worse. Of course it did. That's not a you problem. That is a diagnostic problem. And it happens to women every single day.

I am going to introduce you to the three patterns on this workshop. I have given them names, because once you meet them you never unsee them, and because it is easier to work with a character than a diagnosis code.

Brenda the Breakdown. Station one. The food never gets broken down properly. Low stomach acid, low digestive enzymes, sluggish or missing gallbladder (and if you have had yours removed, I have some things to tell you that nobody told you before the surgery). Food sits at the top of the line and ferments before it even starts moving. Brenda tends to bloat right after she eats. Brenda often has heartburn β€” and the antacids she was given have made her WORSE, because her acid was already too low, which is what caused the reflux in the first place.

Gwen the Growth. Station two. Too much of the wrong bacteria. This is your SIBO, your candida, your dysbiosis. Gwen's bloating gets progressively worse throughout the day, because as she eats, the overgrowth ferments her food and produces gas, and the gas builds, and by evening she is walking around looking five months pregnant. Gwen is the one whose probiotic made her worse β€” because adding more bacteria to a bacterial overgrowth is like handing gasoline to a house fire. Gwen is also the one whose SIBO has come back three times, because nobody addressed WHY the overgrowth developed in the first place.

Tina the Traffic Jam. Station three. Motility is slow. Transit is stuck. Everything backs up. Tina is the woman who cannot have a bowel movement without magnesium β€” five, six capsules a night, and it barely works anymore. If you need magnesium to go to the bathroom, that is not a magnesium deficiency. That is a motility problem nobody has looked at. Tina gets handed more fiber and gets WORSE, because adding more traffic to a traffic jam does not make the traffic move faster.

You can be more than one of these. Most women are. And weaving through all three, quietly making everything worse, are two accelerants that almost never get addressed at the same time β€” your estrogen and your stress. If you have heavy periods, brutal PMS, and 2 AM wake-ups on top of your bloating, that is not a coincidence. Your gut is where estrogen either gets escorted OUT of your body or reabsorbed back in. When the gut is broken, the estrogen recycles, and the hormones spin out, and it is all one story. Once you see it, you can't unsee it.

Here's what I'm going to walk you through, live, on this workshop:

The three patterns, in detail, with real language you can apply to yourself. By the end of the session, you are going to know which pattern (or combination of patterns) is most likely yours. Not vaguely. Specifically. In a way you can take to your next appointment and say, "I want to be tested for this."

Why the timing of your bloating is a huge clue. Bloating right after you eat is a completely different problem than bloating that builds slowly through the day. Same symptom. Opposite root cause. Once you know which one is yours, everything starts to make sense.

Why the "healthier" you eat, the more bloated you get. If eating a salad makes you look pregnant and eating a bag of pretzels doesn't, you are not going crazy. You are feeding a bacterial overgrowth exactly what it loves to ferment. It is not the food. It is the terrain. And it is fixable.

The gallbladder conversation nobody had with you. Whether you still have yours or you don't. Because if yours was removed and nobody told you what that means for how you break down fat for the rest of your life, we need to talk. This piece alone is worth showing up for.

Why SIBO keeps coming back. If you have treated it once, twice, three times, and it keeps returning, there is a reason β€” and it is not that you did the protocol wrong. It is that the protocol only addressed the overgrowth and never addressed WHY the overgrowth was there in the first place.

The estrogen and gut connection. Why your heavy periods, your PMS from hell, your 2 AM wake-ups, and your bloating are all one story. Why fixing the gut is often what finally fixes the hormones β€” not the other way around.

Why you are exhausted after eating. If a meal knocks you out and you need to lie down after lunch, that is not normal, that is not aging, and it is not "just being a mom." There is a specific mechanism, and I am going to explain it.

The exact testing that reveals which station on YOUR line broke. The GI Map β€” the stool test that actually looks at bacteria, candida, H. pylori, enzyme output, zonulin, and your gut immune response. The DUTCH test for the hormone drivers. And what a REAL blood panel actually includes, because I promise you the TSH your GP ran is not close to enough.

One free thing you can try tomorrow morning. I always give you something you can use right away. It will not fix everything (I am going to be honest with you about that), but it is a solid starting point for most women, and it costs you nothing.

A live Q&A at the end, where I will answer as many of your questions as I possibly can.

Sunday,Β  September 20th| 8p EST/7p CST

Show up live. I'm doing Q&A at the end β€” that's where the most specific, personal answers happen. The replay won't include it.

This workshop is for you if:

You wake up with a flat stomach and go to bed looking five months pregnant, and it does not matter what you ate that day.

You bloat from water. From air. From nothing. Your stomach distends before you have eaten breakfast, and by evening you cannot breathe properly.

Someone has asked if you were pregnant. Maybe a client. Maybe a stranger. Maybe a well-meaning coworker. And you had to stand there and say no, and you went home and cried in the car.

You have quietly bought bigger clothes for your abdomen. You live in leggings and elastic waistbands and call it "comfort" when what it actually is, is concealment.

You take magnesium every night just to have a bowel movement, and even that is starting to stop working. Or you have used enemas. Or laxatives. And you have not told anyone.

You had your gallbladder removed and nobody warned you that digestion after that surgery is a completely different game β€” and you have been silently struggling ever since.

Your bloating has come with a matching set β€” heavy periods, brutal PMS, 2 AM wake-ups, brain fog, exhaustion after eating, and a libido that has quietly packed a bag and left β€” and nobody has connected them for you.

You have been told your labs are "normal" while you feel anything but normal.

You have spent real money on functional medicine, naturopaths, food sensitivity tests, stool tests, probiotics, and elimination diets, and you are not better. You might be worse.

You cook two or three separate dinners a night because you cannot eat what your family eats, and you have stopped registering the loneliness of that ritual because it is just how dinner works now.

You are DONE being told this is normal. Because deep down you know it isn't. And you've known it for a long time.

This workshop is NOT for you if:

You want to be told to drink more water and try some deep breathing. I am not that girl. I love water and I love deep breathing, but if that was going to fix this, it would have fixed it by now. I am going to show you the mechanism, the metabolites, the actual biological reason your body is doing what it is doing. You are too smart to be handed another vague answer, and I am not going to insult you with one.

You want a quick fix, a cleanse, or a fourteen-day protocol that promises a flat stomach by summer. I do not do that work. I do the work of figuring out what actually broke and rebuilding it in the right order.

One last thing.

If you have been quietly wondering whether you are the one woman who cannot be helped β€” the exception, the mystery, the case that stumps everyone β€” I want you to hear me.

You are not. You have never been.

You have been running the wrong protocols for the wrong pattern, because nobody stopped long enough to figure out which pattern is actually yours. That is what this workshop fixes.

You are going to walk away from ninety minutes with me knowing more about what is actually happening inside your body than you have learned in three years of practitioners, podcasts, and 10:47 PM Instagram scrolls. You are going to have language for what you have been experiencing. You are going to have a framework you can apply to yourself. And you are going to have a real, specific direction to go in, instead of one more piece of a puzzle you cannot assemble.

Come on in. Save your seat. Bring a notebook. I will see you there.

Hi, I’m Dr. Beth Westie!

I'm a functional medicine practitioner, and I specialize in helping women resolve hormone and gut issues from the root cause.

I run the tests other practitioners won't run. I read the markers other practitioners skip. And I sequence interventions based on what your data actually shows, not what's trending on Instagram.

I built my practice because I was tired of watching brilliant, capable women walk out of doctors' offices with circled "normal" labs while their bodies were quietly falling apart. I was tired of watching them spend thousands of dollars on supplements that didn't move a single number, while no one ran the test that would have shown exactly what was wrong.

I'm not here to hand you another supplement. I'm here to show you why nothing has worked yet, and exactly what it takes to change that.
